All i describe here, handle it with care at your own risk. I tested it and made it at my own PC and it worked, because i had several problems too. !!!
It seems to be a punkbuster problem.
Test your Pb-services: Test-Programm needed:

Here only click "TEST services" first... not Install!!
Mostly it comes from the server PB after an update. A PB-update on server, or an adjustment at your PB will be the solution for it, most times (note next phrases*). I got a kick too (my first kick for this reason in my life) and i have the newest install. (3 days ago ET and all patches with pb new installed) *---> When more persons got kicked it comes from server pb. When its a less incident, then it comes from Player PB and you have to update your PB
There are 3 possible ways (you have to be logged in as a administrator at your pc):
1.
THE BEST METHOD because the pb-server communicate (and download the latest files from pb-server
at first time when they are not existing) directly with the game-server and your pc for automatic update (at every start to a server when you want play and connect to)....
DELETE your COMPLETE Punkbuster-directory (and only that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) for example in c:\ET\pb only the pb.
NOT ET\pb !!!!!!! BETTER: delete pb-services at windows-programm-manager at system !!!, when it´s there. Else delete it in the standard folder in windows-explorer.
then: Start ET, and in game main screen goto ^ open console.
here: type this in console:
first: \pb_cl_enable  (should be enabled, enables punkbuster for game)
second: \pb_sv_enable   ]
                      ]-> is for servers, but you will get the codes too
third: \pb_sv_update      ]
after that,you have to connect DIRECTLY to the BH server !!!
-> then YOUR pb collect the new codes automatically from the officially pb-server in comparison with the game server (BH1).
It can be necessary to download the pbsec.htm http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/et/pbsec.htm
to save in the c:\ET\pb directory (look for it wether its there or not)
It can be, that you have to start ET and connect to BH twice.
2. When it
DON´T automatic operate on server <-> pb <-> client connection (should operate, because by every start of game its necessary):

There, you can download the PBsetup-programm and install the automatic Punkbuster update programm:

3. Or for
MANUAL update: download and REPLACE the downloaded files in the pb directory with the existing files:

Hope, all is right. It helped me with this problems a few times... Anyway, a new, fresh ET installation can sometimes be required...

I recognized, that this
could also help at the error "guid auth unknown". Then you have to delete your (save it first in another directory) ET-key in the Main-folder. Then delete the pb-folder and then make the automatic console-update (like described at #1... (type also in: /pb_cdkeyreg but ONLY if you dont get an cd-key !!!)
Then you will get the NEW ET-key from the server you FIRST connect (BH!!!) and the newest pb-files from the pb-server. Watch for the right install sequence !!
Else you have to install the complete ET new...
