Going for the light package and not because I'm going the russian way up the tech tree(free russian tank included)but I think the other packages are way too expensive for just one game....
I just ordered it and already made my choices up the tech tree in the game.
Most ppl choose russian tanks and although some are awesome,I want my allied forces to be a force reckoned with.AAATTTAAACKAA lol
10 levels until now to enter competition and I chose 5 allied,4 russian and 1 german tank/TD/SPG after investigating their gunsize,armor,agility.

That's maybe the best option...although the beta testers get some things 4 free lol,I just wanna start with my beloved MS-1 and work my way up the food chain.

I'm going also for the free version, so it's a little bit harder then but whatever, I hope that that free tank for CBT and OBT is not complete rubbish.

as i understand we can also work our way up with free version, so thats what i will try.

I'm coming to the conclusion that less is more with this game.
Playing with the British Telecom 2 (BT2) is more fun than playing with the Hexer (Hetzer) or STFU III (Stug).
With the British Telecom 70% of matches are against the baby tanks with no arty. You just run around like a maniac shooting them up. It's like playing Rambo Medic.
With the T4 and T5 TD's 80% of matches are against KV3's / Tigers / Rio Ferdinands where you're just making up the numbers. Big frustrating grind up the ladder, only to find the next rung isn't that good either.
And then there's the T28. Total crap tank till you get the long gun. Then it turns into quite a sniper. Being the bottom tank in every match is fine as you now have a gun that can take out 1 or 2 tanks most matches before you get 1 shot or 2 shot killed. I can't see any particular need to go beyond this tank.
I'm aiming for a KV. Won't play that much till I get the 107mm gun from shared xp - and then I might play it like a maniac.
So a garage with a BT2, T28, KV, Su85 would be all the tanks I'd need for a variety of playing styles.
Anyway, the point I'm making is that the mad rush up the ladder is no big deal. Just find a T2 tank that lets you boss the battles and you'll be having a more enjoyable time than someone grinding towards a T54 / Rio / Mickey Maus.
A gang of 3 British Telecoms could be quite something...
