Tier 10 Running Costs

Whilst browsing through some forum crap during a quiet spell at work, notice this little gem posted by a Forum Moderator in a thread about premium accounts vs gold.  He confirms what we already knew - the costs to repair/rearm top tier tanks is artificially high so people don't stop buying gold for premium accounts in order to run them.

+50% only reduces the grind. Premium is one of the first things people who reach the cap will never pay for again.

They won't if they want to spend lot's of time grinding the credits to play their cap vehicles of course.

A shame cos all this does is put me off playing my IS-7 (as you all know).  It also means my IS-4 fun will also stop once it becomes a Tier 10..:/
ofc wargaming wants to make money on it...
any elite tank, medium or heavy has huge repair and ammo costs for a reason...
you need to play lower tiers to fund your high tier with credits...and you need to play premium in the lower tiers to make enough credits.
Its just the way that wargaming.net makes the money on this free game, and they have to....developing a game and running an game like this takes huge costs and any1 who ever has owned a dedicated server knows that running it is not for free.

There are some changes possible tho...
Let clans run their own servers...lowering cost for wargaming, and that way they can change the game a little, making it eayser to run high tiers 🙂
I actually REALLY LIKE this system, it is possible, to get to tier 10 without paying a cent (which i'll probably do  😳 ) but it costs a lot of money, premium users can get money a lot easier, but you do not have to get premium. some games it's very similar, but you have to get the premium so you can COMPETE, here it just makes things WAY easier 🙂
It is a bit odd that as you go from Tier 1 to Tier 6 you make more and more money per battle.

And then at Tier 7 you start losing money in battles you don't do well in and make modest profits on those that you win and do well in - with an overall average of making a small profit. This is playing non-premium.

At Tier 8 I'm averaging a bit more than at Tier 7 - but then I've got the same ammo costs (122mm rounds) with a more penetrating gun at tier 8.

I'm about 300 battles away from my Tier 9 (ersatz Tier 10) IS4.

The main reason for this economic engine in the game is to gently encourage players to pay for Premium. It also has the nice side effect of keeping tiers 5 and 6 populated, and in getting quite a few premiums, like the Lowe, into random battles.
Try loading a shell in the T30,it costs 1650 credits and thats only one!

Hahaha I need a steady aim,no misses allowed!  😃

Btw try grinding towards an T34 it will become premium for FREE!!
