SB Abbey

just a thought for the lay-out in the abbey.

Again...very nice to see someone taking the time/trouble to sort a map out.
12 out of 10 for the "Scousesteel" geeza.
Again I am not being critical just planting weeds in a nice garden.............
We would need a TD to cover D6 through F6.
Too heavy left flank..with no support but arty on the right ( Lose the TD = Lose the arty/base )
But again...when it is posted here in black & white ( OR COLOUR  😃  ), It gives EVERYONE a chance to see where the HOLES are.
So please can we have more input...this could get really good guys. 41srhbhrt564
yh the td is basically to spot things on the road and stay hidden for a s long as pos while the arty hurt the spotted tanks on that road, when/if the td dies there is a fall back off 2 heavies in the base plus the t30 and meds if needed. the reason putting the 2 heavies in the base and t30 coverin rd rather than 1 td in base, is because there might be teams that rush the center straight rd and 1 td would really struggle. would be great if more ppl used gtactix and posted thier versions of what would be a good plan in this post.
thanks 🙂
having just played this map, we looked at having an is7 around E&F7 hugging the hill, just for spotting, as it can get there fast. the arty had problems shooting at thier is7 charge on the low road in the last battle because the enemy was spotted to late, therefore arty cant lower thier cannons enuf to shoot down there.
having played a few more games on the abbey, its rather clear now that people use maus to hold the west side of the map.
now either we could do the same tactic, by maus campin west side(from mini map view) and is7s push the low road, could get very messy down there, or could try pushing the is7s on the middle straight road next to the abbey for a faster push, might be helpfull as they might split thier is7 force, some of them back to thier base, witch is great.
or with the same tactic we were using, the td and maus on lower road to the east MUST i mean MUST be further up that road to spot, now if the maus is to slow take t30 or is7, whatever it takes. spotting enemies on that road late, is instant loss, there isnt much cover for the ppl spotted in our base so they get pinged my enemy arty and our arty cant get the depression on the incoming attack. also the other side were the is7s normally push, and get held up by maus's ect, this can get tricky, some prefer to rush right at the mauses some like to snipe em or we could try leavin 1-2 is7s to play with em while other is7s ingnored them completly and head to base from the higher road of that flank.
